The aft cabin is our favorite part of the boat. But it lacks storage and some of the creature comforts we like.
So, as with all the other work onboard we had to make this better than it was before.

The vanity counter was created to match all the other counter tops in the boat. The sink came from a stainless mixing bowl purchased from IKEA.

The cabinet aft of the sink was not accessible before. I opened it up and made a lid in the counter top for access. It is a huge space.
The small seats were enclosed and hatch tops made for access giving even more storage.

In the aft cabin we have a "Shipmate" solid fuel stove for heat. Under the stove is a storage locker for the charcoal we use for heat
Next will be the mods made to the bed area where charts and other flat items will store.

Right.. one of the worst parts of Flying Cloud was the aft shower/head.
Most of the wood paneling was rot. So I replaced all of the paneling, painted all of the fiberglass with Awlgrip, textured the shower pan with non-skid and installed fiberglass textured panels over everything

Old shower walls

New paneling

What a difference!
